This is the best country store I know. The selection of food is great: stuff you need, including gourmet, health food, fresh bread, good coffee, pizza, and even a great penny candy selection. There's a Post Office in the corner, and the Whammy Bar out back with libations and good local live music in the evenings. Adding in the friendly and welcoming attitude of the staff and the locals you'll find hanging out, makes this a little store you won't want to miss.

...get a sandwich, have a cup of coffee/tea, sit in the massage chair by the fire, play the guitar or read the newspaper....all with a smile in the midst of delightful rural Vermont community. A great place to meet the locals after exploring the natural beauty this area has to offer. and it does offer in abundance....
